I want to thank all the dietary including Evan and Mrs BUTTER ( She knows me by butter because I always ask for it lol never caught her name) but My Hands down favorites are Nures Lisa, Rae, and Ed on Res but if you act a fool on you end up one acute but by the grace of God Ashley (RN) is there. Tech Sean, Reid, Leonard and few others are amazing
I think some people are being too critical of this place. I worked in a similar field early in life at a nursing home with dementia and alzheimer parients, not too far off from a psychiatric/drug and alcohol detox center. The food is dang good for a hospital and seconds are offered at 95% of the meals and patients are waiting for the 15min left of break for the seconds servings cal. I am tired of seeing people write reviews because they are angry, ungrateful, and downright spoiled. I have been to CenterPointe Hospital several times, whenever I need help it is the first place I will go. Almost everyone on staff has a degree in psychology, they truly care about people. Dr. Malik is a genius. I recently saw him at the facility and he remembered facts about my life from 3 years ago, things that weren't even in the records. Psychiatric services. My daughter was transferred here from Mercy as they had no beds. From the beginning this was a nightmare. They took her offer her benzaodipines and she was on a prescribed high dose, cold turkey without patient consent and did not slowly titrate her off of the meds. She was violently ill while there several times and while they gave her some meds to help when she was there, they sent her home with nothing to help with withdrawal symptoms. They have only one medical doctor and the rest are nurses that come and go. Nobody knows what is going on. They do not return calls. Patient Will be held for a month regardless and suddenly Will be released.
Leornard, and Nick great for unit 3.........JASON IN PHARMACY IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. Very unhelpful regarding help w/meds.
It was a roof over my head and a place to sleep. There were some excellent staff members that definitely cared, but for many it was just a job approached with some indifference. I remember a staff member nicknamed the Godfather. I think he was much more absorbed with his image than his actual work. Someone will have to explain to me why almost all rehab patients took smoke breaks. It doesn't seem to be consistent with a healthy recovery. They have had a big turnover of nurses and reading other reviews is very discouraging as patients are finding that when they are finished with their care and feeling well enough to go home that the facility tries to keep them there longer than they should be in the hospital.
Additional review. So I didn't find out till 4 or 5 days after getting out and I knew if I didn't go back id go on a very long bender. I decided to have a bender on the way back which was a complete mistake. I only remember getting out of the car as a passenger. Things at center pointe are never consistent from one shift to another. Corporate has changed recently and personally I do not believe for the better. Without notice they said they were changing smoke breaks from 5 to 3 smoke breaks in a 24hr period.
