Posting for an alcoholic friend that’s almost done with inpatient @ CenterPointe. She is sober & happy after spending several weeks there! She said it’s very clean, great counselors & even good food. I have seen a complete turn around in my dear friend & they have her set up to go to a sober living home straight from there. Being in AA & sober myself I know of a lot of success stories that came out of CenterPointe.
This place doesn’t even care about a persons well being. Waiting to get a bed that was said they have beds just to sit for hours and hours to get into one. People need help and they need to take these matters very seriously. Not allowing people to see them or to treat them like prisoners. Actually prisoners get more help than these people. Get more help or more beds and find away to help people not to just let them feel alone and more depressed.
I was just released from the inpatient program. I had the worst experience!! I went in for anxiety and intrusive thoughts from an SSRI that I was given from my psychiatrist at a different office. I experienced horrible side effects. I went to seek help from the inpatient program. My experience was awful!!!! I had been taking a heart pill given by my cardiologist and this past week while at the facility I was given something totally different!!! My daughter was sent from another hospital and sat in the waiting room for hours but, was told a bed was available before transfer. When spoke to Melissa in intake she stated she had several discharges and was working as fast as she can to get her a bed. Worst hospital ever…
They took good care of my mother for six weeks who was suffering from a schizoaffective episode. They then discharged her to a 90-day stay at a supervised transitional home, and I thank the staff for finding this resource that will allow our mother time to heal and reacquaint with society. Her condition has been very hard on our family, but I think these folks genuinely care and did the best they could to affect positive change for our mother. We hope she can continue on a path of healing/management of her condition.
