If I could leave no stars I would. If you care about the person you are sending here then that means you are indeed reading these reviews listen to them. I was admitted here voluntarily and it was absolutely horrible. It felt like jail I had to lie about about feeling better just so I can leave which was a huge struggle. Do not go here. The Mental - Illness system is broke in the United states, I believe most of us know this. Center Pointe hospital is living proof of how broke it is. I feel for parents that have your children in here. You think you have good insurance and they will get what they need . So not the case. We have a family member currently in Center pointe. I was just at this hospital. I got out today. The social worker Steven just me out without confirming that I had a place to go. Now I'm homeless thanks to his incompetence. The nurses and techs there are a hit and miss. Some are great and others don't care. The units are largely a mess, house keeping can't or won't keep them clean. The scrubs they give you are constantly running out. They rarely have clean ones for you to change into. I went three days without a clean pair of cloths. Popped back here to explain my experience. When I was 16 I was staying in their adolescent inpatient facility and woke up one day to a nurse entering our room to draw the blood of me and the three other kids in our room. I informed the nurse that I frequently passed out when I had my blood drawn. Despite this, the nurse didn’t acknowledge this when she finally made her way around to me to draw my blood last and then immediately left the room seconds later. This place is very unprofessional in my opinion. While I didn't stay in their care I can honestly say that the staff I did interact with was very misleading. I called before hand and made it clear that I came there for detox from drugs. Having no idea about it being a psych ward. And NO ONE made any effort to inform me either. And once I finally got a "nurse" to tell me. by that time I always informed that I wasn't able to leave unless a doctor said I could leave.
