Popped back here to explain my experience. When I was 16 I was staying in their adolescent inpatient facility and woke up one day to a nurse entering our room to draw the blood of me and the three other kids in our room. I informed the nurse that I frequently passed out when I had my blood drawn. I was just at this hospital. I got out today. The social worker Steven just me out without confirming that I had a place to go. Now I'm homeless thanks to his incompetence. The nurses and techs there are a hit and miss. Some are great and others don't care. The units are largely a mess, house keeping can't or won't keep them clean. The scrubs they give you are constantly running out. They rarely have clean ones for you to change into. I went three days without a clean pair of cloths. This place is very unprofessional in my opinion. While I didn't stay in their care I can honestly say that the staff I did interact with was very misleading. I called before hand and made it clear that I came there for detox from drugs. Having no idea about it being a psych ward. And NO ONE made any effort to inform me either. And once I finally got a "nurse" to tell me. by that time I always informed that I wasn't able to leave unless a doctor said I could leave. My gf called up there to see what all they could do to help me get the help i need with mental health issues. They told her there is about hour or so assessment then i will end up speaking to the dr and its up to him if it beat interest for me to be inpatient or outpatient treatment. Now i went in on my own to gwt help remind you and after 4 hrs and me keep asking when i will be seen they informed me it can take 6 to 8 hours before they asses me. I was transferred here from the hospital for mental health help. Everything went fine the first day but after day it was wonky. There weren’t enough groups, they gave me the wrong medication, they took off the door knobs to the bathroom so there was no privacy, and they took all the activities out of the unit. My biggest gripe is while I was at my most vulnerable the business manager pulled me into an office to talk to me about billing. He said I had to pay before I could leave.
