This is definitely a good place for a special event. The food and the service were both very good, but beware of the added costs like cocktails and dessert, because both are horribly overpriced.

Chama Gaucha has some of the best service staff I've ever experienced. Our wait staff was extremely attentive and they made a MAJOR difference. The food was insanely good, as it always is, and it was a highlight of the night. However, I made reservations for 7:15 and didn't get seated until just about 8:00. What's the point in making reservations if I'm going to be given a pager like the rest of the Walk-Ins? What's worse is that the hostess lied to me. The food was Awesome, the wait staff is the best I have ever seen, even the floor managers were attentive and friendly, will definitely will return.
The meat was a bit on salty side so I had to avoid the outside cuts but therwise the meals are very well flavored. I was surprised that a 6 oz bottle of Astoria Moscato cost $34! I guess I should have asked for the drink menu before taking the recommendation of the 3 different moscatos & picked the one that the waiter had recommended. The wine was good, but not worth the price. I have a much larger bottle at the house for much less price. But I guess we are buying the name & ambiance.
I've never been taken care of the way Chama Gaucha takes care of me. From the staff remembering my family to the fact that my glass was never given the chance to be empty. Not even mentioning the best meat anywhere. Steak, lamb, chicken, sausage, pork. It's all amazing!!!
It is always amazing here. The service is wonderful and the food is even better.
Great Restaurant, never disappoints! Went there in a group of 10 with children, had a great time, salad bar fresh and very complete with many options. Waiters always taking very good care of us, and the meat as always perfect and lots of flavor, will be back !
