Chesapeake Place was great for my dad. He did well there. He was treated with kindness and respect by all staff members. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The price is a little steep but then again most memory care facilities are quite expensive.

Friendliness and dedication of the nurses that I like most of the facility. They have many things to improve on: cleanliness, especially the floors in memory care. Many improvements need to be maintained. I feel that memory care is often forgotten in the activity spectrum...the residents need more motivation. The quality of care is lacking due to short staff issues. Also, the memory care security door needs to be addressed. They need personnel just to let in and out visitors. My experience was actually quite stressful and overwhelming in the beginning . For me, it was hard to figure out the process but then everything started to fall into place. Since then, and in the long run, it has been a positive experience for both me and my loved one! What I was most concerned about was staff turnover but that has not happened. Beyond that, the staff and that includes everyone we see, is engaged, encouraging and there for my loved one. It's a happy, contented close community.

A week ago we had a crisis with our mom. Her possibility of finding a place that would accept her. I made a call to [name removed] and she and [name removed]. They jumped through hoops to help make my mom safe and comfortable and did it within 3 days. Customer service is amazing here. This is the place for your mom. You won't be disappointed.

Initial move in went well. No guidance regarding laundry services. No orientation. No buddy system. No response to voice messages. Friendly and helpful staff. Staff checks on resident during day and reminds about meal times. Staff very responsive when approached with questions. Facility recently had a high turnover in staff. Heard there may be care improvements soon.

Like all assisted living facilities it's difficult to move a love one into someone else's care. But sometimes has to be done! The staff is great at Chesapeake place- sometimes the communication is not the greatest - leaving messages and nobody calls back! The move in process was great.
