My mother has been living here for 8 months. She is very settled in and enjoying life at Chesapeake Place. She especially loves spending time on the porch in the fresh air with the companionship of others. She is very satisfied with the meals and her dining eating in the dining room and interacting with her friends. On Tuesdays she goes to the salon , she uses the library as she loves to read. My mom is doing pretty well at Chesapeake place. I wish she would do more of the activities but that's on her. Staff seems very friendly and takes care of my questions. I appreciate that.

[Name removed] always helps me with my father and assist us with any of our needs. She goes above and beyond to listen to my dads needs and make sure he is happy at Chesapeake Place! My dad is not always in the best of moods but she willmake him laugh every time. She assisted us from my very first stop to view the facility. Always full of information to help! I chose dining as a first review because of my love for food. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast. Each morning I look forward to my oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and bacon or sausage with toast, and a sweet pastry. Before I begin my breakfast, I want coffee, juice, and a glass of water. I often enjoy a second cup of coffee. Other breakfast options include pancakes, dry cereal or yogurt. Once I finish my delicious breakfast, I am satisfied and ready to start the day. We have had some struggles but it is starting to improve. They are losing their director of nursing though and she is the one who was making changes happen. I would tell others to constantly check on your loved one initially to make the staffing understand how to take care of their needs. Everyone is different and responds to care in different ways and they do not always see that. It does seem that they have a lot of turnover so I have to tell the new staff what to do.

This is the place to be! [name removed] is the best. She follows through when you are exercising and reviews once you are done. She never makes me feel rushed. The food is fantastic. I do not know how they get the taste right for this many people. The food is just out of the world!! The staff and the residents here are very friendly.
