We chose this facility because the friendliness of the staff right from the beginning. They were eager to answer our questions and we felt very welcomed. They made us feel like my aunt was the most important, not money, it was all about her. She is in a one bedroom in memory care and they are beautiful sized rooms, she also has her own private bathroom. My Aunt lived in this community. She was welled taken care of. The staff was very professional and caring. It was nice being greeted with a smile during visits. I was touched by what was said regarding the emotions displayed in my aunt's passing from the staff. Knowing my aunt, I feel that she touched a lot of the workers that took care of her. She, more than likely kept them on there toes with her sense of humor and feisty behavior. So, THANK YOU for the love you showed her.

I would highly recommend this community. I choose this community and this was the first place I saw. I had good feelings about his place after visiting a second place. I decided that this was the place to be. Chesapeake is on a single story and felt it would be a good thing for my loved one. I enjoyed the layout of the community. The families and residents had to furnish the rooms when you moved in. The staff ate with the residents, food was good quality.

Chesapeake Place is fairly clean, the staff is friendly but the communication is lacking quite a bit. It is more on the expensive side. They need more of a variety of food to choose from. The rooms are great in size.

My husband passed [date removed] and I moved in January 2020. Everything has gone smoothly so far. The only thing is not being able to leave just to go shopping etc., because of the flue and keeping everyone well. Sometimes you just need to have a break. It is better to stay away from everyone than to get sick, which no one has.

Absolutely 5 stars. They love my mom and take great care of her needs. They have been great in allowing me to skype with her and talk to her through the window so we can see each other. Kudos to [names removed] and the nursing support staff!!!

It is a difficult time now since they have had to cut the activities due to the quarantine. My mom has hearing problems which we finally got addressed so we are hoping when get back to normal she can meet some other residents. She is rather lonely now. They have smaller portions which my mom likes, but she is not a big fan of the food. They are doing there best. They have a very friendly staff very accommodating.
