DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!!! They were perfectly nice during my time there, however they have given me hell about canceling. After paying their cancellation fees, giving them a copy of my husband's military orders, and a copy of our marriage license, they still will not allow me to cancel my membership. They demand a form of "relocation proof," like a utility bill or something in order to cancel. I am currently staying with family while my husband is training, so I have no such documentation. Horrible customer service from the manager!!!!! Other locations were decently nice. Came in with my 1 week visit pass and was treated horribly by the manager. Informed corporate of his behavior and they apologized but then encouraged me to get a 2 yr contract! WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO COMMIT 2 YRS TO THIS COMPANY?!? DON'T DO IT! YMCA might be more $ but they are much more flexible and NO CONTRACTS!!!! Go where you are treated well!!!

The physical plant is good. The Bailey's corporate rules are heavy handed. Once a contact is signed there is not any way to get out. "Sure there is" so they say. You can get a doctors excuse---- we'll only if they decide to accept it. My doctors excuse failed to pass their acceptance. It was appropriately signed and documented. While trying to work with Baileys they sent my account to collections ruining my credit, they took cash in my pro shop account, and have let the bill continue to grow to $300 in spite of calls, ... read more

Absolute worst experience with a gym. Staff is not trained and corporate office is unwilling to help. This gym is a money pit! We went in to cancel our membership because we were moving, the woman at the front desk said we needed to pay for the upcoming month as well as a $50 fee. We did so and then months later we got mail forwarded to us from baileys stating we owed over $300. We called the collections office and they informed us this is pretty typical of baileys gym. The gym itself is decent. I enjoyed working out there. Their contract policy, however, is terrible for the way they treat gym members on active duty military. I signed a two year membership agreement and a year later, was deployed for 6 months. They wouldn't freeze my contract and made me continue to pay dues even though I was on the other side of the globe and obviously couldn't use the gym. I've been a member here for about a year now - and the staff is right friendly and the place is clean. Most of the equipment is in good shape - and if things are broken, they get fixed pretty quickly. Two points when considering this gym: Compared to those in bigger cities, a lot of the clientele doesn't seem to get that they are working out in a public place. I had 2 poor and morally upsetting experiences with Bailey's. First, I joined at the Monument location. I got the premium membership ($50/month-to-month). After several months, I found myself not using multiple locations, not going to classes, and the tanning booth was a serious let-down. Basically, I was using machines. I tried to downgrade my membership, since I wasn't able to enjoy all the amenities. The staff member said she was unable to do so, unless I paid $80 for a re-registration fee. I've been a member for many years. Free WiFi for members would be nice so I can listen to music through my phone. The music they play through the speakers is terrible. The bathrooms smell moldy. Not a lot of beautiful, sexy women to look at while working out. The men there are geeks carrying their big 1 gallon creatine mix. Too many pencil necks.
