Chuze Fitness in Escondido is by far one of my favorite gyms! Every visit is a great experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming -- they make you feel at home the moment you walk in. The trainers are dedicated and professional, always taking the time to guide you properly and motivate you throughout your fitness journey. The equipment is well-maintained and always clean. I understand that rest periods vary, but my concern is that some members are "resting" while sitting on the machine and staring at their smartphone therefore monopolizing the machine and preventing other members from sharing. I suggest implementing a policy that prohibits cell phone use while sitting on the weight machines. This would promote a more efficient use for members.

I USED to love this gym. I've been a Chuze member for 10-plus years. However, my rating will decrease due to members "parking-their-butts" and spending excessive time sitting on machines while scrolling through their cell phones, which prevents others from using the equipment. This behavior disrupts the flow of others wanting to circulate on the weight machines and creates an inconsiderate environment for those who are eager to train. Came on a Wednesday morning and there's plenty of parking for Chuze and all the other surrounding businesses. The welcome desk is the right as soon as you walk in. Was quickly greeted and immediately went in. It was my first time and the thought it was pretty small. I saw the weights and other strength machines right away. There was a small turf area for stretching etc. the restrooms are gender binary and don't offer any family options. Staff is great and location is very clean. Just beware the location is very woke when it comes to holiday signage. Must be management doing it. I have pictures of all of it... it's sad really. It's been happening for the past few years. Today, Veterans Day, there was a 8.5x11 piece of paper on the front desk that said happy Veterans Day.... But you know the 4'x6' flag which said Native American heritage month was put up right next to it. Go check it out yourself. Go to the la mesa location where they have a flagpole ... read more
