Been a member at this gym for like 5 years. The last 3 years of membership I wasn't active and had no time to go. The last year, I paid the membership but was no longer able to go even once in a year. Just too busy and lost my drive. I ended up cancelling my month to month membership. RIDICULOUS! Don't sign anything with this gym! They will hold you hostage. The staff is unable, unwilling, or uneducated to help in the situation. I called to cancel my month-to-month on the 1st of the month and was told I would still have to pay for the month because, even though I fulfilled my 1-year contract several months earlier, they need a 30-day notice. Bailey's Gym is the absolute worst. First off, I was a member and had a contract. I get contracts and all of that, however, when a worldwide pandemic happens (which is still happening, wear a mask) and I'm out of a job, can't pay, and won't be able to pay because I need to keep a roof over my head and eat, yeah I'd say that's a good reason to cancel. Not a good experience at all!! New to town and wanted to check out a gym to join. Signed up for the FREE GUEST PASSES for my wife and I, but the not very friendly front desk staff told us our FREE passes were still $10 each??? I said we have a FREE pass, but they would not allow it! Poor customer service, didn't allow us to look around or enter the gym unless we paid $10 each?! WTF! By the way, the place looked dirty and had an odd smell. No way would we go back there.

This gym has the harshest and most deceptive policies I've seen. They capitalized on COVID in order to enrich themselves using policies that they know are misleading, under the circumstances. I'm 66 years old and would not have considered going to a public gym after February. My pre-paid membership ended in July yet they "rolled" it on charging my credit card monthly hoping I wouldn't notice with their underhanded tactic so that the gravy train would carry on. Customer service with membership agreements is maddening. I needed to cancel as I will not be working o out in a public gym due to covid. My year membership ran out during covid which I agreed to keep paying because I get the whole one year contract thing. But it automatically rolls into month to month and they kept charging me thru the covid shutdown! I called to cancel and they said I HAD TO COME IN. Similar to other bad reviews. This Gym has AWFUL customer service and is not customer minded at ALL!!!! They are not organized and do not keep appropriate records. My husband sent in written request to cancel the membership which they lost. Two months later we were FORCED to pay the past due amount plus an additional month. Do not risk your sanity or finances by doing business at ANY Bailey's because their corporate office does not have it together.

Mine and my husbands membership was due to expire on May 1, he went in the day before everything was shut down because of the virus, I was working and supposed to go in the next day to cancel mine so it would auto renew. Everything shut down so I called corporate several times with no answer and emailed corporate twice along with a copy of my membership card and heard nothing. Moved away from Florida to PA on June 27th. Called Corporate to cancel my membership. They Said, "$95". This was August 5th. Asked them if they would please take into consideration that I left over a month ago and that they could see that I had not gone into the gym during that time.
