Not Happy I've stayed at Super 8's before with no problem. Always a no frills but a clean and nice hotel. Not the case at the Gilroy location. Beds were as hard as a rock, the hard foam pillows had a plastic cover over them that crinkled all night, and towels were so rough they took the first layer of skin off when you dried yourself. The shower had mold around the tub and hair in the shower and bathroom floor, ugh! NOT Impressive!! This Super 8 gave us terrible service right from the time we checked in. The guy at the front desk said we booked a "handicapped" room. When I explained to him that I only booked a single with room for a roll-away, he blamed it on Expedia. He then "upgraded" us to a double but "only because we have one". He was very rude during the whole conversation. The room was adequate; however, the bathtub faucet dripped continuously and the little refrigerator was very noisy. Don't Stay in this Hotel! The customer service there must be the worst I've ever received. My room did not have a working shower. Upon check out I informed the manager of the problem. He said I should have told him and he would have let me into another room to use the shower. It was obvious that they don't do regular maintenance or upkeep because they had no idea whether the rooms, or the things in them, are in working order. Very Disappointed Rated with 4+ on the Expedia website. Another hotel in Gilroy, that I was very satisfied with, was rated in low 3's so I tried the 4+. Bed was hard as a rock, not fully made. No tp in the bathroom (found some under the freestanding sink cabinet). Towel hook was laying on the floor behind the toilet. Tub bottom bounced when in the shower. Elevator was filthy, smelled like bad car freshener. A/C unit in the room was very quiet though!
