So far everything seems to be good. My father is in assisted living there and the care is good. I don't know much about the activities. I saw a calender, but my father wasn't really interested. I can't remember what kind of activites were available. The value is tough because I think it's extremely expensive but I'm kind of cheap. The food is incredible! Over all, they are good people and they've got a good place.

While our parents enjoyed the staff at Courtyard, their experience there was not what we had hoped for. Staffing shortages resulted in oversold promises such as chef-prepared food and a lack of attention to detail resulted in one of our parents NOT getting needed medication. It was also difficult to get in touch with the necessary staff to voice our concerns.

Seems like a nice place but only studio units are available. Like that meals were included but the overall price was not commensurate with what you get in my opinion.

Business response:

We understand that a studio is not the right fit for everyone in senior living, and the factor that cost plays in choosing a new home. We wish you the best of luck in your search, and in your new home.

Unfortunately, this is not a place for my Mother In Law. Although the staff member who gave the tour was pleasant, I found the facility not to my standards. I toured 2 "houses" wherein residents were confined to their rooms (doors closed), employees (staff members) were not with residents, but sitting on the couch in a common area and sitting at a lunch table, on their personal phones. There was a odor of urine and an overall lack of cleanliness. I also witnessed an unattended resident, with a walker, outside in the courtyar... read more

Business response:

We regret that this was your first impression of us. At the time of your tour, our caregiver for Memory Care was in a resident's room providing care. As we offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care options, we have residents across different care needs. We would like to apologize for the odors you experienced, as that is not a normal occurrence. We will be retraining our staff on resident and visitor engagement, staying tour-ready, and our cell phone policy. While we are disappointed that this was your exper... read more

I was met late for my appointment. The tour given was by someone who did not seem friendly. Was shown a home that was not clean and did not see any other residents or workers. Has potential, but the employees are lacking.

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Your comments are valuable and will help us improve moving forward.

They had a great sales pitch but, the reality of the situation was different than the promised. We were very disappointed. And our sister ended up in the hospital as a result of their care.

Business response:

We value all feedback and see from your review that you gave cleanliness, staff and friendliness your highest ratings and we thank you. We know that we cannot predict the ways in which our loved ones decline, and we offer heartfelt support.

My mother lived here for almost a year. Understaffed, poorly managed in the office. Bookkeeper messed up our insurance billing so bad it took months to get straight, it was awful. Very stressful and no apology. I would not put a relative or friend here.

my mom stayed at the courtyard at cour d'alene for almost a dear. Under Staffed, but caring CNA's and RN. horribly inept business office/Admin staff. Business Manager had our Insurance so messed up and couldn't get the simple billing done for months.

Business response:

We are sorry that you felt that you had no other forum than to post this review, but rest assured, we discuss reviews at the community. Our care staff is compassionate and we appreciate that you acknowledge this. The number of care staff is established by our licensing authority, and we are not considered understaffed. If you have any specific questions or issues please speak with our executive director.

Overall we were disappointed in support from staff and transition/communication. The cleanliness was adequate. A handful of staff is very pleasant and helpful. They are very understaffed it seems. M mother in laws biggest complaint is the food. Chef is so nice and helpful. the budget allotted for food is very low. Unable to attest to the activities since my mother in law hasn't partaken or been there long enough. The value for cost seems about what it is around town
