Everything was dry and overcooked
My family is a frequent at Cracker Barrel and today we were Very disappointed in the portions, quality and forgetfulness of serves. Missing so many items that cost extra to add and we didnt get any of it plain hashbrown, bacon, grits, biscuits, syrup; need I say more. The pictures below tagged with what it should be, $74 worth of food! Wow just wow!
Terrible. It looked nothing like what was advertised. The Hashbrown Casserole Shepherd's Pie had the hashbrowns (not the casserole) served on the side, just plain hashbrowns. Also there was no tomatoes, sour cream, etc. as was advertised. It was as though some teenager just threw some pot roast in one dish and basic hashbrowns in another because they were busy and/or annoyed. Def not worth 35 dollars.
The country fired Country Fried Steak was not good at all. The mashed potato were good and carrots were good.
normally this meal is sooo delicious however I received maybe a teaspoon of hollandaise sauce on one egg, the other was completely dry. I was so disappointed. Cracker barrel do better! it was a $21 meal for goodness sake!
Cheated me on the condiments- didn't receive even half of what I requested. However, I recd a generous sized serving of carrots & they were yummy
Have been disappointed in Cracker Barrel last few times I have ordered food. I usually love their food but I dont know what's happened. They forgot essential items like gravy for homestyle chicken and mashed potatoes. The cornbread was burned charcoal black. The biscuits were burned on the bottom. The berry french toast was a pile of clumped bread with no taste and no berries! The bacon was hardly cooked and not edible. Our last meal ordered was about the same quality. Everything at Cracker Barrel has a weird after taste, like old grease.
I've had this dish elsewhere before and it was outstanding, but this Southern Fried Chicken was cooked too long. The meat on the leg and wing were virtually nonexistent. The skin was very hard and too crunchy, however, the thigh and breast were very good. The carrots and green beans were also very good. The biscuits had no butter with them, so that was disappointing. Too many unmet expectations to rate it any higher than a two tonight.
