My partner was craving Cracker Barrel, and we were in the area, so we arrived around 11:00 on a Sunday morning. I fully expected to have to wait a while, but we were immediately seated. It was busy! I was working disaster relief in NC this past week, took a day, and stopped here for Sunday dinner. It was really nice. My waitress was sweet and the pot roast was like a meal from momma. I took my bread back to the hotel and had butter biscuits for breakfast one morning.
Love this place! Me and my family have spent so much here and have went so many times. I want to express what a wonderful waiter we had today, his name was Chris. Chris was fantastic and gave us a great service and I hope he gets a raise. We ordered the fish fry special with Cole Slaw and macaroni. The entrees were good. The server was slow to take orders and he did not return to check on us until we were almost finished eating to finally refill our drinks. The biscuits had been in the warmer for days it seemed because they were as hard as a rock. The server said he would return with fresh biscuits. He NEVER returned. How could you not love cracker barrel. It's awesome food and good value. One of my favorite restaurants for sure! Just try to hit it up when it's not as busy to avoid waiting on table. The take home meals are great as well.
