Took a patient in without POA’s consent. Now they are trying to tell us it will be a week or two before we can get her out?? No communication with the family until I started calling and raising hell. Then they tried to side step me and call my 81 year old father. Therapist made excuses for not returning phone calls and tried to tell me the only way to get her out would be to write a letter saying she is not a harm to anyone or herself and obtain a 3rd opinion from a doctor.
