I have visited several times in the last 2 years. Each time, I'm told that other procedures need to be completed in order for the scheduled procedure can be done, which increases the cost of my visit. During my time with the hygienist , they are constantly trying to sell me on other procedures, products, etc. On the 2 occasions I've seen Dr. Rief, she comes off cold and impersonal. The new hygienist was very inexperienced and did a poor job cleaning my teeth and cut me while scraping my teeth. Took too long and got nervous. I understand she is young and just starting out so I can't be mad but she needs a lot of work.

Came in for 2nd session of intense cleaning, this time addressing right lower quadrant. This procedure required administration of novacaine (or equivalent). Felt the application was very rushed, rough and painful. Cleaning commenced and very quickly I felt pain on inner gums. More novacaine applied and cleaning completed. After leaving within 30 mins my lower lip very very swollen and maybe I bit it whilst numb but it remained swollen and very sore through evening. I VISITED Dr. Reif's office 0n 1/17/17 and after she examined my mouth she commented that' I was not taking care of my mouth". I was in severe pain, anxiety level high, and was afraid and didn't know what to expect. Can you imagine me going to an emergency room with a Heart Attack and some one utter these words to u and all the staff to hear? Dr. Reif's bedside manners was offensive and unprofessional. Dr Reif's comment that "I was not taking care of my mouth" was not what I expected to hear coming in for the first time, and in severe pain. Due to a very bad dental experience, I was afraid, my anxiety level high, & did not know what to expect. I definitely wasn't prepared for Dr Reif s offensive and unprofessional bedside manners attack. In addition to the amount charged with no services rendered by her office except for an X-rays. I was denied treatment with my primary insurance because my birthday was incorrect in the system.

Dr. Rief gave me her usual 30 seconds inspection at the end. Patty was great and thorough as always. I wish Dr. Reif would spend more time with her patients. Right now I won't be doing more dental work with her other than cleaning.

Appreciate Dr. Reif squeezing me in, accommodating me schedule wise. Problem today with "bedside manner". Felt like she clearly was rushing and quite troubled by her insistence that this was more of a burden and troublesome to get than to me. Even though it was considerable cost to me and I was on the receiving end of needles, etc. Also noticed when I got home that the material used for a mold for a tooth stained, in numerous spots, a new sweatshirt I was wearing.
