TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Julius is the MVP at Dave's Hot Chicken! I stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken and had one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had, all thanks to Julius. Julius is solid at Dave's -- he knows the menu well, moves fast under pressure, and keeps a cool head even during the lunch rush. He's especially good on register and packing orders, but can also step in on the fryer or expo when needed. Customers like him, and he's reliable. If he tightens up a bit on consistency and checks his work more often during peak hours, he could be one of the top guys there. Overall, dependable and improving.

They were good sandwiches! I think I'd recommend eating there over delivery though. But nice hot flavor.
