With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I recently ordered from Dave’s Hot Chicken and was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The chicken was soggy, tasted off, and did not seem fully cooked. Both my fiancé and I felt nauseous after eating, and even my 4-year-old daughter refused to eat it. Given that we spent $60 on this meal, I expected much better quality. This place is expensive. The food is comparable to Caines. The chicken coating sticks to your fingers. I was mildly satisfied with the taste. Service was very slow. Many cars that arrived after me were served before me. There was nothing complicated about my order. The atmosphere looked like ghetto spray paint art.
Food was delicious and received quickly. I also happened to forget my purse there and the nice cashier let the manager know that I might have left my handbag behind and they put it in the safe for me until I was able to retrieve it. Such amazing customer service and a bunch of honest and proactive workers.
I recently tried Dave's Hot Chicken, and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The chicken was absolutely phenomenal – perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. 8.31.24 - Nice new, clean, and great food. A bit costly ($60+ after taxes), but really delicious, moist chicken tenders, crispy seasoned crinkle fries are addictive. This has to be a once in a while treat.
