I've tried a handful of other chicken sandwich places and I can say that's nothing compares to Dave's . When I come , my boyfriend and I usually get our own combo meals (2 hot spicy chicken sandwich + cheese) to last us the whole day or to eat the next day . It's still really good even the next day , and the one thing you can count on daves is their spice. Besides the food being amazing good the fact ur sitting down and worker is walking around making sure everyone is good with their order and asking if we need anything else is truly customer service satisfaction
Such great hot chicken sandwiches!!!! I love the pickles on the sandwiches! The heat is great to choose what you like/--anywhere from No spice up to grim reaper. Slightly sweet and crunchy batter. The fries are tasty crispy on the outside soft on the inside. I like the good special sauce.
Food is great. Hector is great too! Staff is very friendly and prepares orders well. Line cook Hector is the man.
Really good high quality chicken especially if you like it spicy! They also have one of the best strawberry milkshakes ever!! Their max and cheese is pretty good. You've got to get extra sauce and honey!! Honey is a must to put on your chicken and in your sandwich. There's a bunch of street parking by the restaurant and its also open until 3 am on weekends and 1 am on weekdays.

Wow, so while in town (San Diego) I had to try Dave's. It is in a nice location, lots of people walking by. The establishment does not stand out, but I found it. I must say it was clean inside and while not a big place there was room to find a place to sit. If you have not been to Dave's...we've gotta change that asap. I was not crazy about spicy chicken sandwiches previously, but having Dave's has turned it into one of my favorite foods hands down. Dave's definitely has the best spicy fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. And the sauce is soooo good. I can't handle spicy very well, but I usually get one medium and one hot sandwich.
