TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The best f*ckin chicken sandwich I've ever had that puts Chick-fil-A to shame. Gotta have their mac n cheese too! I highly recommend ordering online instead of in person. Everything is made fresh to order so don't expect "fast food." Don't arrive starving or you'll get hangry during your 20+ minute wait. If it's your first time trying Dave's Hot Chicken, get the Medium. It's an explosion of flavor without the burn.
I had a decent experience on my one other experience with Dave's in Sacramento. It was a bit spicy hotter than expected, but juicy and tasty. I was glad to hear about one opening in U.C. I finally decided to give it a try. I was at first put off by the high prices for basic chicken tenders. But, okay... I'm here, I'll give it a try. I made a take out order with medium sauce. The wait was short. I smell of chicken, in my car, heightened my anticipation. But, alas, I was quite disappointed. First, at the look of the 2 pieces o... read more

We'd really love a second chance to make this right. If you have a few extra seconds, would you mind connecting with us at https://tellusdirect.com/dhc? -Julie
Long wait but so worth it. The vibe was dope I love the ambiance. The chicken was juicy and phenomenal. Will be returning!
My favorite spicy chicken sandwich place! Think raising canes but SPICY . They take their spice seriously here so mild if you want to be safe because that one already has a kick. Warning that medium can have a burning sensation on your lips. My favorite to get is the #3 which is a slider and a chicken on wonder bread. Best of both words!:) The fries are perfectly seasoned with some spice seasoned on top! You must ask for extra Dave's sauce! Helps balance the spice a bit and is even good with the fries too! Not just the ch... read more
Love this place the chicken is Fantastic I recommend this place anytime you're in San Leandro.
I think I came to Cali just to try Dave's hot chicken. It was the very first stop we made after getting off the plane. It lived up to the hype!! I got a slider and a tender in hot, yummmm!! It was pretty filling and I don't think I would get the fries next time. I need a location in south Florida!
I ordered lunch for pickup last week. The food was great. The service was great. The restaurant was clean. And even on their busiest day, the food is ready within 10 minutes. Highly recommend Dave's Hot Chicken!
I'm a fan of this spot. As soon as you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the employee behind the register. Ordering food here is quite easy as the menu is short and simple. I ordered the 2 sliders HOT chicken with cheese and a side of cheese sauce. Food was delivered quickly and executed to perfection. I must say the HOT is damn HOT. But if you can handle the spice, you will be good. If not go with the mild and below. I think the french fries here are one of the best in the area. They have a special seasoning and the f... read more
Great food, fast service, and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. The chicken was cooked perfectly and flavor was spot on! We also get this on DD on occasion when we want some chicken.
