My favorite spicy chicken sandwich place! Think raising canes but SPICY . They take their spice seriously here so mild if you want to be safe because that one already has a kick. Warning that medium can have a burning sensation on your lips. My favorite to get is the #3 which is a slider and a chicken on wonder bread. I think I came to Cali just to try Dave's hot chicken. It was the very first stop we made after getting off the plane. It lived up to the hype!! I got a slider and a tender in hot, yummmm!! It was pretty filling and I don't think I would get the fries next time. I need a location in south Florida!

I ordered lunch for pickup last week. The food was great. The service was great. The restaurant was clean. And even on their busiest day, the food is ready within 10 minutes. Highly recommend Dave's Hot Chicken!

I'm a fan of this spot. As soon as you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the employee behind the register. Ordering food here is quite easy as the menu is short and simple. I ordered the 2 sliders HOT chicken with cheese and a side of cheese sauce. Food was delivered quickly and executed to perfection. I must say the HOT is damn HOT. Great food, fast service, and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. The chicken was cooked perfectly and flavor was spot on! We also get this on DD on occasion when we want some chicken.

The BEST fried chicken I ever ate in the USA! Inexpensive, their sauce and fries are also great. Perfect spices, service is always on time. They mostly have a team of colored people doing back and front end jobs. I like this because I know typically chains strongly prefer white people at front desks. Just an observation, and I hope I don't offend anyone. I prefer the Chicken Sandwich slightly over the Slider. But I get a combo with both every time!

Dave's was just ok. With all of the hype I had high expectations and don't know if they were really met. I got the slider and tender - my husband did too. We both agreed that the slider was very tasty, but the tender was really just not. Its has a dry rub so after a while you feel like you are just choking this down. The pickles are a nice little side but pickles do not make a meal. And the fries are really just ok too. Other than the slider, we were underwhelmed by the meal. If I went back, I would just get the sliders.
