TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

COLIFLOWER slider and 1 no chicken strip, with mac and cheese. The no chicken Cali flower pretty good. Great I would say. Little soggy from take out but that can be fixed. The flavors were excellent. The mac and cheese however not so good reminded me of a School cafeteria mac and cheese, from elementary school. In fact , the cafeteria , mac and cheese might have tasted a little better. But they pull off the Dick.Collar flower thing pretty good.
The place is relatively clean and the staff are friendly. The food is good and the chicken isn't dry. Ordered the Slider+Tender & Side meal and swapped to Cheese Fries for the side. I would recommend the "Hot" spiciness level for people who enjoy a kick and still want to be able to taste the other flavors and seasonings. "Extra Hot" has more kick but begins to overpower the other flavors and seasonings.
I ordered Dave’s #3 extra hot, cost was $18 with tax. It was very good, spicy but not too spicy and was very filling. I liked the slider best, and the pickles weren’t too sour and complemented the greasy chicken very well. The tender was good too, but it was very big and took me forever to finish. Overall a great experience.
I've eaten at Halal Fried Chicken a number of times and I can easily say I love this place. The options they have are delicious(my personal favorite is hot chicken 🍗 and chicken popcorn They have other options on the menu along with specia the location. Services is very friendly. This place is a definite must try.
Absolutely love coming here! Best chicken I’ve ever had anywhere and it’s consistently delicious, fresh and tender! I usually order medium spicy and it’s just the right amount of spice. I’ve also tried their reaper level and although it is tolerable, it is not enjoyable to eat since it’s so spicy that you can’t touch the chicken with your hands. Their sauce is the bomb and works so well with the chicken. Service is great and efficient as well!
