Visited Dave's Hot Chicken while in Gilbert for lunch after driving by it countless times since they opened -- a friend (Teresa) finally gave me the push to stop in. We went to raising Cane's, which was closed on New Year's Day. Across the street doing a bang up Java business with a long line in their drive-through was Dave's hot chicken across the street my wife and I tried it for the first time and it was amazing. They catered to how hot you want your chicken. We both got cheese fries, and I will say that the servings were more than generous, and the food was delicious.

I think I may have found my new favorite chicken sandwich! Having heard great things about Dave's Hot Chicken, today was finally the day that I darkened its doorstep. A rubber chicken sign with its mouth agape greeted me, shining in the sunlight above surrounding storefronts. Yummy chicken. Huge portions. Crispy fries. Fry sauce is to die for. One regret. I should have ordered extra hot. Hot is not hot enough for my tastes.

My third visit to this location. I was very pleased again with the experience. Interacted with three employees, one of which I think was the manager, and all three made eye contact and had friendly sincere service. It made an impression. Food was good as always: strips, sliders, fries, slaw, pickles, and ice tea. Unsweetened tea was out, sputtering out just water. Dining area was clean. Bathrooms clean. I have no reservations about recommending this restaurant if the cuisine appeals to you.

I've been here a few times, and I have enjoyed it each time. I usually get the mild, and medium chicken. Either just the tenders, or in a sandwich. I can not complain. I love their chicken, great seasoning and taste.
