I've been to Daves a couple times now and I'd say the food is decent. I feel like the chicken itself doesn't really have any flavor to it, instead it's just a lot of cumin, cajun, and other seasonings. The portion of the chicken is sometimes good, somedays you'll get small portions of chicken. I feel like the prices are a little too much considering the food itself doesn't come with a drink. I had to stop my meal to write this.OMG this is the best chicken I've had in a while. Where others are raising their prices as the quality of the food plummets, there's always a few that refused to follow suit just for profit. I thought this was just gonna be another garbage chicken place that was trying to make money with frozen chicken. But holy smoke, this is amazing. I had been wanting to try Dave's for months and finally got the chance. Right when I walked in, I noticed how clean the place was and how friendly the staff were -- always a big plus. I ordered Dave's #3, which comes with one tender, one slider, and fries for $13.29. Wanted some fried chicken and my friend told me about this place. I was little disappointed to see that it did not have regular fried chicken, just chicken strips or tender what ever you want to call it. As a vegetarian, the Cauli Slider was the best thing I've eaten in a minute. I was at a Yelp event a few months ago and, as always, I asked everyone what the best thing they've eaten recently is and someone said, the Cauli slider at Dave's. It took me too long to follow up, but I'm so glad I did! I trucked my husband over to Gilbert today to try Dave's Hot Chicken. I ordered a Cauli slider, cheese fries, and drink. Delicious chicken, minimal menu but makes it easy to decide what you want. The levels of spice vary enough for all audiences.
