TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I went through the drive through at Dave’s Hot Chicken tonight for the first time and after checking out the menu I pulled up to the order station and was greeted in such a friendly manner by Stephanie. She asked if it was my first time trying the food there and I said it was, she was really helpful and open to questions when ordering. I ordered the sliders, Mac n Cheese, and Kale Slaw. I have come in a couple of times now both through the drive thru and inside and all these times I’ve had amazing experiences! There’s always this worker there, his name is Marco, he is in the drive thru a lot and he always just gives me the best experiences there, always makes conversation, is always polite and respectful, and also pays a lot of attention to details I noticed. I’ve been to other locations as well like Fair Oaks, but this worker makes this location by far the best one around sac county.
The experience at this location was the best one yet. I’ve been to the other stores and this location had it down to a science. It wasn’t even 5 minutes before my food was hot and ready. Everyone was friendly and the GM Cecilia seems to be the reason for that. She was kind, energetic, and kept everyone busy at all times. The food was delicious and left me wanting more! I will definitely be back!
I ordered only two sandwiches and it took them 30 minutes. 30. People who got there after me received there food faster. And after that wait, I open my food before I leave and I have NO FRIES after all that. Poor service today, normally it's good. They didn't even give me the daves sauce that comes with the meal. Horrible
