Had Dave's Hot chicken to go, and ordered the two crispy chicken sandwich meals (level medium and hot) deconstructed. So I had the spread in the packets and the pickles and cold slow in their own containers. So as to not have my sandwiches mad soggy by the time I got home. With the spicy levels chosen, medium tasted more like mild to me. And I didn't even realize it had any heat to it. The inside of the place is spacious for a chicken shop. Ordering was easy either at the self service or at the register. I got the 40 pieces Dave's hotbox with half no spice and half mildly spiced. It comes with 4 pieces of white slice bread, mayo sauce and sliced pickles. The chicken pieces were juicy, crispy and delicious. The coating on the mildly spiced was a tad bit salty. The sweet and savory mayo sauce helped bring the flavor together.

Dave's Hot Chicken absolutely blew me away from the moment I walked in. The smell of crispy, spicy chicken hit me before I even reached the counter, and I knew I was in for something great. The menu is simple and straightforward, which I appreciated. I ordered the #2 combo with two sliders and fries, medium heat, and everything was cooked perfectly. Every time I'm back in town from college, Dave's is the first place I hit. Got hooked on hot chicken a couple of years ago, and nothing else compares. The food is always fire, never had a bad meal here. Honestly surprised it's not more crowded when I stop by, because this place deserves way more hype.

Great experience! Thanks to Jonathon for explaining everything. One of the group can't eat hot food: no problem. Food was great. The place is clean as it possibly can be and Jonathan was awesome. Highly recommend this. it can be challenging to go someplace. It says hot chicken with a person who can't eat hot anything but there's no problem here at all so if you had a child or somebody else who has problems with spicy in your group, not to worry they've got you covered.

Dave's has tasty spicy chicken. I've had the strips and sandwiches. They are cooked just right. The fries are really good as well. The service at the Folsom Dave's is really good. Highly recommend. The inside of the place is nice and clean as well. !
