TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I was so excited to try this place when I saw it opened. I like spicy food, and I can tolerate it pretty well, but just be aware the mild chicken is still really hot! The flavors were really powerful and I find that in spicy food they aren't so prominent, but here they were. The menu is quite limited, but the place is new and I can only assume they'll expand in the future. The place is by the university so of course it'll be busy! They finally opened a Daves location in Albany. They're originally from California and have been expanding their restaurants in the east. Knowing that they finally opened a restaurant here, I had to go try it out! The location very close to University at Albany, plenty of parking near the area too. The store itself is also fairly big. It is very crowded as of todays date because the store just opened and everyone wants to try it out! I had to wait around 30 min for my order and food. The service was great!
