TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First time eating at this location. The customer service was great, clean atmosphere, everything was correct on my order and the wait wasn't long
We really enjoyed this place, we accidentally ordered the mild one thinking it would be a little spicy but it wasn't. Next time we will order the medium one. Fries were fresh and the coleslaw was amazing! The server was polite and friendly. We didn't have to wait for a table but it gets packed fast! Overall a good experience and we will for sure come back to try something else from their menu.
I came up here with a friend one night. I had never ate at Dave's Hot Chicken before. Busy but good food. We sat outside and I enjoyed my meal. The chicken can be really hot so stay with lite mild or mild unless you like it really spicy. They serve it with pickles and honey packets which made it for me! I love honey and pickles with my chicken. It's a nice quick stop for fast food if you're in the area.
No bad effect on stomach. Good value for the money. Better place online order so that you dont need to wait.
Service is fast and workers are kind. Prices are good, you get a lot of bang for your buck.

This place is incredible. Charles was so helpful, we had never been in a Dave's. He broke down the menu into an idiot-proof system. He answered all of our questions with care and kind thought. Even amidst what appeared to be a major rush, with a steady line of customers, Charles remained calm and kept a professional and courteous demeanor. One of my friends had never tried Dave's so I decided to take her to the University location and they did NOT disappoint! Once we walked in, we were greeted with a few welcomes and surrounded by a nice and steady atmosphere. Janiah was our cashier and was very helpful when it came to ordering our meals. We tried Dave's #1 & #3 which was delicious! 100% coming back for service and quality.
Loved the service! Loved the food! It was all great! Especially one of their workers, Matthew. He was so kind with my friend group. I would definitely eat here again!
