NOT crispy fried chicken. But definitely juicy, tender and spicy. It's fine but 16.30 for two tenders and terrible fries is not. Also what's up with the white bread. That's just ghetto. Give me a biscuit or something or anything other than 2 limp slices of generic white bread

service was fine and friendly.and wait was average.the chiken tenders were over spiced and got my hands full of red dye.super dry chicken not even with the "Dave's sauce" which is just another typical mayo ketchup sauce.that was super tasty. the ambiance was great had beautiful artwork.overall the rating is low because with two chicken tenders a pice of bread fries and a shake I could have bought two good meals at panera bread. the whole meal was $25 plus tip.we wouldn't revisit after that first low experience.if it was ... read more

This experience might be one of the Worst experiences I've had they cashier was rude the food was uncooked and cold and it was the wrong spice level definitely dissatisfied

Tried this yesterday at the new Kingstown location. I love all things chicken so was happy to have a new option. Service was friendly but the food was a letdown. To me anyway. I guess many people like this but I was not a fan. To greasy and not very flavorful (I got medium heat); kind of a mess to eat. Afraid I will not be a repeat customer.

Dave's Hot Chicken was pretty okay. The young man that took my order was pleasant and we had a great laugh even if it was momentary. This place has changed hands so much that the inside is off-putting to me. The mural on the wall is wonderful. I let my friend try it too and she likes it and thinks it's good. You have to sign a waiver if you're going to eat the Reaper sandwich or tenders. 3 of 5 stars.

I stopped by this place on my lunch due to me seeing the hype behind this place since it was finally having a location in DC. It's located in Columbia heights in the old movie theater where Z burger used to be but the inside is not decorated to fit the Dave's Hot chicken theme. The employees quickly get you order taken and you wait all of 7-14 mins depending on what you order. Would I recommend this no if I want to keep my friends this place has fantastic customer service, their place was beautiful. But the food its what u come for how with this much marketing can it be this bad. The chicken tasted like sweet chili, the crust was good and crunchy and the spice was there, But their sauce didn't exactly meet expectations lack of overall flavor. In all the place was great so was the experience, but the food didn't live up to its price and marketing do not recommend.

Ok, So I gave this place a try. I ordered a chicken slider. Chicken parts were Super large (kinda CONCERNING) and wasn't very flavorful to me. To say the least, the food wasn't good. I kinda feel like the Chicken could be "LAB Grown Chicken", but not sure. The sample of the Mikeshake was Good. Overall, I will not recommend or be returning.
