The chicken is well seasoned and tender, there are multiple spice levels. Service is always great, workers are friendly and fast. The decor is super cute as well

I wasn't sure what to expect because this place has been hyped up so much but I really enjoyed the food the chicken was juicy and flavorful and it's not greasy they could add a little more coleslaw and sauce tho there was barely any on my sandwich the fries were tasty as well we went in at 1pm and it was empty so we got our food fast the Cashier was very friendly and nice overall a good experience I would get it again

now that we as a nation are on the topic of hot chicken, I did indeed recently finally try daves.... - this place is alllll over my tik tok so I had pretty high hopes for a chain -I got the two piece with one hot and one medium, the hot had the type of kick that burns your lips but it didn't bring it too much to my tastebuds, the medium was not spicy at all but I will give them props for how much seasoning is crispy fried into these boys - the breading had a nice crunch even a few hours later and the chicken wasn't dry even... read more

Really good hot chicken sandwich. I got the combo with the 1 chicken sandwich (I added cheese) and fries. I got medium heat level and it tasted great and not too spicy. Next time I'll try the hot level. Lots of inside seating and service was good.

Best fried chicken I have ever tasted. I tried this first in LA during a business trip. Then especially drive to New York once for it, and was anxiously waiting for the DC location to open. Please open more locations at airports. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Found this on Instagram and I just happened to be driving by on my way to a part time gig. There is a guy standing out front yelling "Dave's Hot Chicken". He deserves a raise for the attention he draws to this place. I decided to stop in mainly because of him. It was around 7pm and the place was EMPTY. I should have known. When I learned about Dave's reaper chicken, my brows perked up and I thought challenge accepted! Stopped by last night to grab it, close to closing. Our prayers have been answered! Dave's Hot Chicken has finally arrived to DC and oh man it did not disappoint. This chicken is 100% juice and tender certified with the perfect crisp of flavor on it. I did a pick up order for their free slider promo they had going on because of the limited street parking there is. Such a great addition to Columbia Heights! I ordered from their online website and opted for a slider and tender combo with a side of cheese fries. I also added cheese to my slider. For both the tender and the slider, I went with the lite mild bc I was very afraid of how spicy it would be. It definitely had a kick to it and I'm such a wimp I don't think I could go any higher on the spicy scale haha. The fries were great (love me a crinkle fry)
