Went here at 1 a.m. after a concert. They were the only place open. Walked in the doors to Drake on volume 100, about 5 people in line, door dashers rolling in and out, and about 3 people behind the counter in the woods, working their asses off. We ordered. Waited for about 30 minutes. Growing impatient along with the lack of general cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms. Frustrations mounted. As my wife and I were nodding in and out of delirium because we were so tired. Our number was called. We sat down, ea... read more

I don't understand they hype with this place. The slider was ok. Nothing too great. I thought the chicken was too salty. The fries were good. Service was a bit slow. There's plenty of seats inside. Great for grabbing something quick

Decided to give Dave's Hot Chicken a try as it's been open for a while now in the TMU area. Went around lunch hour on a weekday and luckily not too busy with students. There were a couple of empty tables and seats but would give cleanliness a 2/5 as all the tables had leftover crumbs, sauce, etc. Ordered combo 1 ($17.99 before tax) which includes two tenders, two pieces of bread, fries, and pickles. There is a dipping sauce (Dave's sauce) that is slightly sweet. Fries were probably the best part of the meal! You would th... read more

This was my first time trying Dave's hot chicken, since there are no locations where I live in the United States. I had seen their restaurants on social media and was excited to try. It did not disappoint. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly and explained everything very well. We ordered the one tender and one slider combo to get a feel for both since it was our first time. I must say that drizzling the tender with honey, and then dipping in the sauce, makes for the perfect bite. I recommend you ch... read more

Food: 4/5 - 2 tenders and fries: Pretty good! Much different than Popeyes and KFC; really enjoyed the fried chicken and the seasoning on the chicken was so nice. The fries were really good fresh too; I'd definitely get it again! Service: 4/5 it was a little slow because it was busy, but everyone was friendly! Ambiance: 3/5 given its downtown, it wasn't very clean. It wasn't dirty, but it wasn't clean. However, this is similar to other large franchises in the area, so not specific to them.

Really good, fresh made to order, hot fried chicken tenders. Please note they do not offer any bone-in fried chicken. Dipping sauce and pickles are outstanding, crinkle cut fries are really enjoyable. Usually order the slider and tender combo, and I go for pretty hot, which is really, really, really, really hot! If you have a craving for spicy fried chicken, you cannot go wrong here :) Service is fast and friendly, ambiance is clean and energetic.
