TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Food: 4/5 - 2 tenders and fries: Pretty good! Much different than Popeyes and KFC; really enjoyed the fried chicken and the seasoning on the chicken was so nice. The fries were really good fresh too; I'd definitely get it again! Service: 4/5 it was a little slow because it was busy, but everyone was friendly! Ambiance: 3/5 given its downtown, it wasn't very clean. It wasn't dirty, but it wasn't clean. However, this is similar to other large franchises in the area, so not specific to them.
Really good, fresh made to order, hot fried chicken tenders. Please note they do not offer any bone-in fried chicken. Dipping sauce and pickles are outstanding, crinkle cut fries are really enjoyable. Usually order the slider and tender combo, and I go for pretty hot, which is really, really, really, really hot! If you have a craving for spicy fried chicken, you cannot go wrong here :) Service is fast and friendly, ambiance is clean and energetic.
This is my second fav fried chicken chain now! Really like their juicy, tender and flavorful chicken, big portion too.
After seeing the photos from this restaurant on yelp I had great expectations for the food. However, the portions I got looked a lot smaller than other reviews. The cheese in the mac and cheese tasted like nacho cheese, which wasn't exactly what I was hoping to get for the price. I did like the different options for spice level of the chicken. I will say the chicken is on point, super delicious, large pieces, i ordered the double sandwich meal, the buns were very fresh the chicken had a nice light batter which was perfectly spiced, i chose hot, and it was adequately hot, nothing you'd be fanning your mouth over, just hot enough. Amazing chicken! Everything on the menu is amazing. Love the hot chicken sliders and chicken tenders.
If you're a fried chicken enthusiast, Dave's is a must-try for its deliciously satisfying and consistently excellent offerings. Sliders v good. I tried the hot and was pretty impressed. Will come back to give Reaper a try
Been to several Dave's Hot Chicken locations and they are all consistently amazing. Can't get enough of the sliders and tenders. Will be back soon.
Surprised it took me this long to try this place out. Ordered the Dave's #3 which is 1 tender, 1 slider and fries (17.99). Really really good. They have a ton of different spice levels which is nice for a relatively low spice tolerant individual like myself.
