TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I love that there is a new player in the fried chicken and chicken sandwich space. Dave's offer something different in the mix. Their chicken meats are seasoned uniquely and have different levels of hotness available to order. We aren't tolerant of very spicy food, so we ended up getting mild chicken. Really good fresh chicken and awesome crispy fluffy fries.Service can be slow but the freshness is worth a wait.
The fries were actually amazing like I would go back again for the fries and sauce. However the sliders weren't as amazing as we thought it would be. The price for Toronto honestly wasn't bad. We got fries and 2 sliders for 22 bucks. The service was slow but it was also packed inside the place so maybe that's why. Wow, the chicken was moist and, not for the faint of heart, but the reaper chicken was awesome.

I was waiting for Dave's hot chicken to come closer because our friend who ate at their queen street location was raving about it. And it did live up to his raving. One of the best Nashville fried chicken places. My partner got the reaper hot and I got extra hot. The reaper was hot but extra hot was just right, not too crazy spicy. we got the 2 tender combo on a take out. I tried a mild and medium, I thought they both taste good. I think lite mild would be good for me next time. They did have bread at the bottom of the fried chicken. It kept all the moist away and kept the chicken dry and crispy. Thats what I love. Dry rub. The fries were also great. Everything is crispy as expected. Everything is as spicy as it should be.
Dave Hot's Chicken is an absolute delicious fast food chain. Food ( 8/10 ) - The chicken tenders are super big and filling despite not looking it. It's smothered in this super flavorful spice rub. The tenders are juicy and crispy as well.
