TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I went with friends for dinner, and there was still a decent amount of people despite it being a weekday, but not to the point of a long wait time. The inside had a good amount of seating with a modern interior. The chicken was pretty crispy with a good amount of spice that you're able to adjust. I ordered the meal with two sliders and was able to get different spice levels for each. The cheese fries were as much as you'd expect from simple cheese on top of fries. Overall, it was a good experience, but I felt there was a la... read more
Foods been amazing both times I came. Sizeable chicken, crunchy almost Korean fried chicken style, tons of seasoning and flavor. The only complaint is that the fries have Cajun seasoning on them so there's not a lot of reprieve from the hot chicken. Would love more slaw and sauce, but you can always request such! Love the extra pickles!
Food was great, service was great but the atmosphere was horrible. a fight broke out and employees barely did anything to stop it which resulted in food getting flashed at me and my clothes were left a mess. I'll stick with going to the one in coon rapids thank God they opened that one.
This was very well seasoned and juicy and the fact that it's halal option was my favorite.
There was about a month where I couldn't stop coming here. Love to get a slider and a chocolate Oreo shake. I remember waiting about an hour in line to try them when they first opened, so happy they expanded their locations. They do tend to be pretty busy, at least anytime I go. Parking can be a bit of a hassle at most of the locations. Inside can be a little cluttered because there's so many people going in and out constantly, but overall a very valid chicken spot.
the service was great. the ambiance was nice and welcoming. and the food was hot And fresh
This chicken is so good. I work nearby and a customer brought me some of their hot chicken. It was the first time I ever had hot chicken. This stuff is worth the hype. There are different spice levels and their sauce is yummy. It tastes kind of similar to Raising Canes but the chicken itself is way better and the spice levels are good. I'm not one for too much heat so I like that you can pick your heat. I will continue to go back.
I have been here twice but it feels like I was at different restaurants each time: First time: the 'Mild' was Green Tabasco sauce spicy and the 'Medium' was regular Red Tabasco sauce spicy. Second time: The 'Medium' was Green Tabasco sauce spicy and the 'Mild' had no discernable heat at all. So, yeah, there are standards implementation issues but the chicken itself is awesome.
We ordered 2 chicken tender, fry, bread and pickles meal. First time here my daughter ordered the no seasoning took 1 bite did not like it. I had the medium spice. I liked the chicken, fries were undercooked, bread not toasted. We compared price to Chick-fil-A for same thing 3 less. I also don't like when places ask for a tip that are not serving me.
