My wife has been wanting to try out this place for a long time based on the popularity on Tik Tom for this chain. Unfortunately it was a big flop as there is nothing special about their chicken sandwich. Also they got the order all crossed up, to their credit they made it right but we ended up with much more food than we needed.

I wanted to try this place because, to me, the chicken wars are still on! (with Chick-fil-A on top) Dave's did not disappoint, but they are not taking the top spot, nor did they stand out from the mid-tier chicken places. The chicken was juicy, hot, and flavorful. There was a light coat of seasoning that I enjoyed, however, i prefer to get some crunch out of my fried chicken, and these sandwiches didn't have that. I also enjoyed the serving sizes. The fries, Dave's sauce and the medium spice level tender saved this from being 3 stars. Seen reviews and a lot of nice pictures of food and I was a little disappointed after trying it. Ordered a #3 which is a slider, tender and fries and I also added another tender. One tender was medium, one was no spice and the slider was mild. I do not eat pickles or slaw so I can't comment on those, I didn't have them. The no spice tender is pretty much the no seasoning tender. No seasoning at all. I decided to pop in for a late lunch on a weekday. I arrived just in time as several groups of kids came in right after me. I ordered the two tenders (although the picture looks like I got three) and fries. I went with the "hot" level of spice and it was spot on. Maybe even a tad more spicy than I was anticipating. Their chicken sliders are BOMB! Flavor is spicy but the sauce they put in gives it an extra flare. I wasn't too big a fan of the tenders so I will stick with the sliders next time. It was busy on a Saturday night so might have to prepare to take it to go.

** UBER EATS DELIVERY ORDER ** Had this as a delivery meal, and I am sort of disappointed in this place. I have been to Dave's Hot Chicken locations before but I like this one the least. My issues were that the chicken fry was not very crispy or crunchy, and that the spice (which I got at the spicy level) just was not spicy at all. I'm not sure if I got the wrong spice level for my chicken and tender, but I was expecting a lot more spice. We were super excited to see Dave's Hot chicken make their way to Falls church. We had it from South Bay, California and had high expectations. I think this location has some work. The chicken wasn't as flavorful as the one in california, it seemed kind of blend. But to be fair, they had just opened and may have gotten better. The service was pretty spot on, it was pretty quick. I just hope their spice gets better

This 3 star rating is based off the food alone. I'll start by saying if you're not a fan of paprika... you will not care for the chicken. Aside from that... the chicken is not flavorful. We got a medium, mild and little mild tenders and they were all just blah. The fries and Mac and cheese were all good. Oh and the combos do not come with a drink.
