With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

the service was alright the food didn't live up to the hype , it was decent i tried it the first time it was alright decided to try it again because i kept seeing things about how good it is and went again and it was alright for the price it's not worth it i would recommend other places like angry chickz

I've been to Daves in CA locations and I swear they changed the heat levels for AZ. I got 1 level below "hot" and it's like there was zero heat. I could taste some spices so they didn't forget to dip it, the sticker on the order matched what I requested. Just nothing as far as heat goes. It's odd because Angry Chicks did the same thing a month or so after opening. Maybe it's an AZ thing. Almost forgot, the cashier applying lip gloss almost the whole time she was taking my order was an odd touch.
Very slow service... Maybe consider adding staff during peak hours. After waiting a while, was told 5-10 minutes more. And we kept on waiting more after 10 minutes.
if i could give 0 stars i would. the workers here are slower than a snail and it took an hour to get an order than was supposed to be done at 10:20 done. finally got food at 11:05. there were tons of people inside, line was out the door. but we ordered at 10, and it was a 20 minute wait, or so we thought. food is good though. only one lady was going fast, nobody else seemed to care.
Pretty great food however the service wasn't the most welcoming or helpful. It was our first time and they had few answers to our questions other than pointing to the menu.
Service. Straight up. It sucks. Wait time for an order is over 20 minutes when the place is dead. The food is good but I'm not wasting 20 minute drive here 20 minute wait for food and 20 minutes home. I can go to other places that are just as good and have a way shorter wait time. Thanks but this is my last trip to Dave's for a long time. All the LA locations don't have this issue at all don't see why the AZ one does.
Food is decent, but the service is awful! I've never seen so many people standing around doing nothing! I waited in line 10 minutes with only a couple of people ahead of me and another 25 minutes to get my one meal! Ridiculous!!!
We've passed Dave's Hot Chicken a few times and I've been itching to try it so Wednesday night we decided to stop in. I ordered the two slider meal. The cashier let me get two sauces, on one each slider. One hot and the other extra hot. The order took some time to come up. Once it did, while the platter was labeled hot and extra hot, there was no way to tell which sandwich was which sauce. Both tasted great. I would not call them sliders as they were very large.
