TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The service was fantastic and the employees were very nice and checked up on us multiple times. The fries were hot and really tasty. I got the chicken sliders with hot spice level and don't think it had a good flavor, it was just spicy. I was not a fan of the flavor at all. After all the hype surrounding this place I was kinda disappointed. The ice machine was also out of ice and the soda was flat.
We were there 40 mins and have no idea how the chicken tasted. The first bad sign was the large number of people waiting for their food; only two tables were eating (10-15 tables). We ordered and we figured we had to wait since all these people were still waiting. 20 minutes later, there was still no food but they were catching up with the orders. 30 mins we stopped the "acting manager" to ask what was the delay?
