TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave's Hot Chicken was great. Definitely lived up to what my friends have said, that it's delicious. Nice selection of spice levels. For me, Hot was perfect. well prepared and service was friendly and prompt. They also have fried cauliflower bites at different spice levels. That do not show up on the menu when you walk in. But it is on the to-go menu and also you could ask at the counter and they will get them for you.
This place is AMAZING! The service staff is so incredible! I was helped by cookie and she was so sweet! It was my first time here and she truly made it an unforgettable experience! Even gave my daughter stickers!! Food was delicious! The atmosphere is great, they have airbrush/spray paint work inside and it’s amazing!! I will 100% be coming back!!
Stopped by here the other day to try it out. They welcome every customer into the restaurant which is a nice touch. Lucky for me it was not really busy at 8pm at night on a Wednesday. I ordered the plain no spice cause I’m a whimp! The wait was about 15 minutes cause there was a ton of online to go orders. The chicken stayed crispy even after my 20 minute ride home. This place is not just hype, it's actually pretty great. I've been here three times since they opened and each time the service has been friendly and the food hot, fresh, and tasty. You may or may not like the seasoning of the chicken (the flavor has origins in Nashville hot chicken) but the chicken I've had is always juicy, and the fries hot and crisp. Plus Dave's sauce is the best.
Stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time. Went the 2 piece slider meal and was stuffed. Went with a Mild and a Hot. The mild was flavorful and no heat. The hot had some heat but was enjoyable. I'd probably go with a medium next time. Fries are well seasoned and it came with a orange dipping sauce. Couple decent pickles as well. The fried chicken was cooked well and had a decent crunch.
