My kids and I had never tried Dave's Hot Chicken before and since we don't eat out much, especially fast food, we thought we'd give it a try. The food itself was good, but the price really surprised me. The kids each got a small top-loaded spicy buffalo mac, and I got the cauliflower tender bites with kale slaw. First time at Dave's hot chicken and I realized that the prices are all not that bad. This is one of the original hot chicken places and it took me this long to final try it! There is a discrepancy on the prices from the menu to what I was charged. Cheese is extra but makes a difference on taste! A meal is enough to share which is great! I love the wiggly fries and the sauce it comes with!

Lots of hot chicken spots have came thru San Jose like a wild fire since Covid. Their are some bad ones and some good. I believe this is one of the good ones. Consistent a little different. Lady at the front had took my order 2/3 times I've been and she's always nice and makes convo. Always asks if we need anything. Very prompt. The place is always kept clean by her too. It tastes like all the other hot chicken places, so if you're into any of that this is the place for you boss. 5 stars solely for being open late.i think Dave's is the most consistent of the bunch. This specific Dave's had some really crispy fries and I feel like they don't normally make them like this but I really liked it! The cashier that rang us up gave us her name too which I feel like was a nice change of pace and made it feel more human. Overall this was a really nice stop for me and my boyfriend! We're definitely coming back

I finally stopped at the new Dave's Hot Chicken in the neighborhood. I had been to other places a couple of times, but this time I thought it was really good. The service was nice and friendly. The food was really good. The chicken was hot and crispy with a nice balance of flavor on the sliders. The fries were good though just warm. I thought the medium spice level was closer to mild than medium but that's fine. I'll just go up to hot next time.

The food was pretty good but the service not so much. Staff were not friendly, not rude, just seemed like they didn't want to be there and don't care about customer service. We ordered the chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. If you like spice, go medium or above. Anything below that has no spice. The chicken was really good, crunchy and moist. Lots of parking available at this location. Would highly recommend ordering online ahead of time. Definitely asked for a honey and extra sauce. The slushes and the vanilla milkshake are always delicious.
