I was excited to try Dave's hot chicken and was able to go at a time that wasn't busy. I ordered the #3 chicken tender and slider combo. Unfortunately, our food came out cold! The fries and chicken were not warm and seemed like they had been sitting out for a long time, even though we grabbed the food as soon as it was ready. They also forgot the sauces that we paid for and I had to go ask for them. The food was underwhelming and I definitely would not wait in line for it.

TL;DR: Do not eat here if you have food allergies or a picky eater (e.g., no pickles on an order); the staff and owner cannot be trusted to get orders right, leading to unsafe or incomplete meals. Additionally, the owner tried to shortchange me by $10 on the refund, claiming he couldn't access order details--an excuse that doesn't hold up and suggests dishonesty. The service was bad and the employees were very rude! The food was not very good and dry! The ambulance was very busy and loud!I will not go there ever again!

Refuse to fix their shake machine or serve shakes for months at this point. Absolutely pathetic that it takes this long to repair a machine when shakes are half of the menu.

They won't give you a cup for water. This is an absolutely stupid policy. They have delicious chicken. I'll update my review if they change their policy.

I've visited the Dave's Hot Chicken in Capitol Hill and so I was thrilled to have a closer location for those on the Eastside. 1st time I had Dave's in Capitol Hill it was super crispy, flavorful, and had a great spice to it. It's not the cheapest fast casual restaurant but I like it so I don't mind the pricing even though it is a bit higher compared to other fast casual food.
