I heard great reviews and really wanted to try Dave's hot chicken. Last week, late night on our way back from a trip we stopped at the Redmond location and picked up a togo order of Trio (4 sliders, 6 tenders, 2 mozz) as a late night meal to share between us. I love chicken, especially fried chicken, and have a decent spice tolerance. So after seeing lines upon lines and packed tables multiple times at Dave's, I had to try it. I ordered online to try and save some of the wait time, but we were waiting to pick up way after our scheduled time. If the food was good, I'd be OK with it -- but this was the saltiest meal I've ever had in my entire life. I don't know how else to put it. I gave Dave's two chances and left disappointed both times. Overpriced and not very good. It's always incredibly crowded and the workers seem at their wits end. Everything is too salty. The chicken, while tender, isn't very crispy and the spice rub is way too sweet, too. Maybe other locations are better, but I won't be returning to this one. I can get much better chicken for cheaper.

I absolutely love Dave's hot chicken and come here pretty often since it's so nearby but service is not doing Dave's justice. The amount of times they've forgotten items in my order is just ridiculous!!! Multiple tables were dirty and sticky. Today we paid for a pretty hefty order but they had forgotten my ranch and Mac n cheese!! I feel very discouraged to return and spend money here!

What a disappointing waste of $40. We ordered the tenderloin, and it arrived covered in a thick layer of uncooked spices that completely ruined the meat. The seasoning tasted raw, harsh, and overpowering, making the dish nearly inedible. I honestly can't believe a restaurant would serve food in this condition. didnt let me order two sliders with one as the vegetarian option??? idk why that wasnt a possibility. they also said "we dont do water" when asked because i ordered "hot" chicken. also asked for more sauce and was told that i couldnt have more??? rude employees bad service

Dave's customer service vendor sent me a text message after my last review but doesn't seem to have done anything and hasn't followed up at all. Food is still good. This locations owners are still awful and charge for water, even with a meal purchase.

At a spot that serves hot chicken they literally refuse to serve you water. You can buy a water bottle but even though their drink machine has a water spigot they refuse to serve it.
