Having frequented Desaki in the past, I had much higher expectations. I think the owner or his restaurant manager has forgotten why people choose to have a hibachi dinner. The table arrangements are ridiculous. Having 14 plus people with half facing the backs of the hibachi chef is irrational. After expressing my displeasure of this approach to the hostess, I was greeted with rudeness and excuses such as this comment: "Its Friday night, do you see anyone sitting at a smaller table?" Bullshit prices most expensive hibachi I've ever had and there's nothing special to it. Not worth the time or money. There was also a spider in our meal disgusting!!
Prices not worth what you get. Can find the same meal and humor at any other ordinary hibachi place for half the price.. Also found a spider in our meal as we were eating. Very disappointed due to the high expectations we had. Never again
A few years ago we had a great experience at desaki. Food, service and atmosphere was great. We went again for a special occasion and were so dissatisfied with the food and service. We ordered a cake and they brought out a Pepperidge Farm frozen cake. One of us didn't get served rice and the "show" the cook does was lame. never going back
The wait staff did a great job considering their owner was barking orders the whole time. He took away from the whole experience. You could tell the owner was telling them to flip tables quick. No quicker did our food finish cooking, the staff was asking if we wanted boxes. If it wasn't for the owner our experience would of been great. I have never eaten at a place where the owner stood there and watched the tables being served. Had a dead fly in the soup about 20 minutes ago. Total shit. Absolutely gross. N the owner n manager were 2 jerk offs. Like why am I complaining about a little bug in my soup??
Most nasty manager my husband food had hair in the rice and he's like my guys have hats on ... Food tasted very bad .. Will not suggest this restaurant!!!
Absolutely the worst attitude and service I have ever experienced. I sat at the bar with a few guest and was embarrassed that I chose this place tonight . The appetizer was forgotten. It was only after 40 minutes of us waiting and myself asking for it that it was brought out . Same thing for the main course . I sat and watched our plates sit on the kitchen window until I asked if that was ours . The check , wow never came we couldn't get the waitresses attention with a flare gun.
