I thought this was going to be my primary care physician but after trying to schedule an appointment the other day I've decided to look elsewhere. My first visit I scheduled a few days out as a new patient, had little wait time and actually spoke with the doctor for more than 5 minutes. I love this practice. Everyone is polite and helpful from the time I make my appointment, when I am there, and even as I leave. I am especially impressed with Dr. Lau. She is patient, a fabulous communicator and so supportive about any issue I may have. When I contact her with a question, I get a response back from her or her wonderful nurse, Michelle, in a very timely manner. I could not receive better medical care.
I have finally found my primary care office -- no matter where I live in Phoenix I will absolutely be a patient of Desert Ridge Family Physicians. This medical practice is unique: appointments are scheduled 24-48 hours in advance (So if you want to see the doctor on Wednesday you call on Monday). They ONLY schedule appointments 1-2 days out. Lots of good reviews listed here so I called to schedule as my family is looking for a new family Dr. Turns out they are telling all new patients to call back in a month as they are closing down because most of their Doctors are out on Spring Break! Sorry, that's not acceptable for me and my family. Doctors deserve vacations but should stagger them to meet the needs of their customers. Unbelievable that they advertise same day and next day appts on their website.

I am sorry that we were unable to accommodate your appointment request in March, but unfortunately we must occasionally limit our intake of new patients. We do this so that we can concentrate our resources on our existing patients. For example, there were several weeks during the winter flu season when demand from our current patients spiked so high we had to temporarily halt new patient appointments. I love their scheduling practice-- you can make same-day appointments or an appointment the day before, so you can virtually always get in when you need it. The front desk ladies are incredibly friendly and always welcoming, and I adore my doctor. The office is clean, open, and much larger than you'd expect. I definitely recommend this place.
FINALLY!!! I found a doctor that actually cares about her patients. Pretty unbelievable, huh? After hearing me complain about other doctors, a friend of mine has been encouraging me to check out Dr. Lau for a while now. I have had the worst experience with this Physician office and their staff. I have called on many different occassions on questions for my doctor or help and I was passed on to Dr. LeMasters "assistant" I left messages on her voicemail and my calls are NEVER returned. I am extremely upset with the lack of service I have recieved from this office and their staff. Desert Ridge Family Physicians were referred to us by a friend as we were looking to change from our current pediatrician who is a 40 minute drive. When my 1 year old son developed a harsh cough and nasal discharge and ear pain, I called to schedule an appointment. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes, Liz the receptionist answered.
