The crew was nice and they got the job done. I think they could have gotten it done in 2 days instead of 3 (Having been a former insulator myself). They did knock down a part of the living room ceiling, but the repair is good (no harm, no foul). There was some confusion on the third day as to was needed to be finished, the crew chief was not there on the third day. Isulated walls and attic.
They were courteous and showed up on time. Two crews work in simultaneously to get the job done quicker. They did the exterior walls of the house and the attic. They are pretty good cleaning up afterwards and the house is warmer, more comfortable than it was before. Dolphin Insulation Inc. added insulation to the outer walls of our house and into the attic.
We used Dolphin Insulation as part of thehttp://www.masssave.com/ program. They are registered contractor for this program. Overall we are very satisfied with the quality of the work done by the crew from Dolphin. The job took approximately (2) work days. The workers were on time, professional & courteous. They were very knowledgeable and very professional. They came over that day to determine if we needed this. Prior to doing the work the came out, took a look around and noticed that some of the information that they had provided wasn't 100% accurate but they were still going to stick by the estimate. I selected Dolphin from a list of MassSave approved contractors in my area. Through this program I received more than $3,000 worth of insulation and vapor barrier sealing in my basement. Overall it went well, though we had to iterate with the sheetrock company, as in some areas, the insulation was installed too tightly and there was no way to get the sheetrock on. To be fair to Dolphin, the sheetrock company struggled with handling the cellulose insulation, as it's tighter then fiberglass. There were also a few communication gaps between Chris and the crews. I started by talking to Chris at Dolphin first. Then filled out the paperwork to got throught theMassSave energy program. MassSave came and assessed my needs and recommended all thework mentioned above. Theytoldme what it would cost +/- a little. I think I wrote a check for$90 on the spot, and I expected it to cost around $300 when done. Dolpin insulation contacted me after they were informed by MassSave (I think it was a few weeks).
