The service representative was masked and knew his business - skilled and polite. Good service The big negative was the price! Very expensive. Example: we were told that our water pressure was too high (91 lbs) and needed a new main water pressure valve. Donley quoted price: $1100. Bids from two other plumbers for same repair = $500 - $550. Another example from Donley. Asked price to repair a mechanism inside toilet tank. $92 from Donley repair tech. Went to Home Depot and bought the parts and after 25 min had the rep... read more

Answering service on weekends is lousy. Receptionist has difficulty with English language, poor phone connection, does not seem to know what HVAC is. Does not seem to know Donley's business services well.

Donely AC/Plumbing, came out yesterday and had the audacity to quote me $14K to repair a broken water main or $20K to replace it! While I was in the midst of a full fledged panic attack, my sister researched and found that it shouldn't be more than $5K. I got a callback from the 2nd pro that I'd left a message for, Everhart Plumbing, and he quoted me $3500 for pipe replacement, plus he changed the head on the outside spigot and added a back-flow valve that was missing for free! I'm so impressed with his work and honesty that... read more

When having problems with a differential temperature control for my solar water heater, their service man was helpful and put in a new one, with a one-year warranty, for $528. 3 months after the warranty expired, the control failed and Donley would not replace it without starting all over with new labor and new parts. Another company replaced the one Donley put in with an identical one for $200! I realized then how much Donley overcharged me $328 for the first one which lasted only a little over a year.

I recently moved from San Antonio, Tx to Phoenix. I have a 3 year old rental house here and had 2 slow leaks in a bathroom sink and shower. I was surprised I could schedule a plumber to come the next day from Donley's. I was shocked when the plumber quoted a price of $750! I could get a plumber in San Antonio to do the same work for less than $150. I told the plumber I didn't get off the turnip truck last week, maybe last month and did not need his service. The plumber was rude and left the house. I went to Ace Hardware an... read more

I have used Donley for years. All issues were resolved quickley. The low rating now is because...all of the posted phone numbers dont work. I have had a heck of a time trying to reach them by phone. About a month ago my AC went out. Finally reach through email. They finally got out and I ended up purchasing a service agreement. I was told someone would contact me to schedule "regular" annual AC maintenance and it would be a couple of days. Month later no one called. So I started calling them and the same thing happened to ... read more

What a terrible experience. We were referred to Donley by a long time customer for A/C maintenance. We called in 2 weeks ago and were given an appointment for today. The time frame we were given was 12 to 5 so I cancelled all of our plans to make sure I was home. We received a call around 9am telling us they were not able to send someone out and had to reschedule. Well I called back and without even an apology I was told the soonest the could come out was a month from now, and the reason there was nobody coming today is ... read more

I bought a house with a 9 year parts and labor warranty that I assumed we could use. They would not honor the warranty even though the previous owner paid a lot of money for it and it was still in the time period. They also said it would be several days to order the part or I could replace the water heater for a discounted price of only $1,300.

It sucks when the company that installed your current AC units, still under warranty, don't know how to fix them. Yes...this is the very issue we're having right now, and we've gone two days...no air...in the heat of summer. Watch out for these guys. The technician was a nice guy, but I don't trust the company he works for!
