I had my wisdom teeth extracted last week. The surgery was quick and painless. Dr Chen was very patient and informative, and put me at ease when I was highly apprehensive. The staff was helpful with my insurance and giving me the instructions after the surgery. I highly recommend this doctor.
I have had the misfortune of having to see multiple doctors every year for the treatment of Lupus. I can tell you that of all the doctors that I have seen, I have never had a doctor who calls me personally and leaves his mobile number the night after the surgery. So I didn't quite go online to find an oral surgeon to extract my wisdom teeth. I was referred by my friend who saw Dr. Harrison Chen and had an easy surgery and positive experience at the office. The office was clean, modern, and spotless. The front office was very polite and helpful with getting my insurance to cover for the bulk of the procedure. My extraction took less than 10 minutes and I have very little pain and discomfort. For anything tooth surgical related, Dr. Chen is the person to go to!
I am so glad I read the reviews of Dr Chen. My dental office was int he process of performing a crown lengthing procedure and discovered it was not possible nor save the tooth. I was refered to an office to have the tooth extracted. I read the reviews that other had posted - mostly bad - and decided to look further. I as referred by my dentist to see Dr Chen for two wisdom teeth extractions as well as a dental implant. The whole procedure took less than 30 minutes and the recovery was much, much easier than expected. The front office was helpful with getting my insurance to pay for the bulk of the surgery so my out of pocket was limited; great help in a time when we just had our first child. Good doctor and very efficiently ran facility with pretty competent and cordial staff.
I saw Dr. Chen for a third opinion for dental implants as I waas missing quite a few teeth. The previous two surgeons had both told me that I was not a candidate for implant placements and that there was nothing they could do. Dr. Chen examined me, took a space-age like scan that determined the exact amount of bone he needed for implant placement, and was able to perform the surgery one week later. My dentist referred me to Dr. Chen, who he called the best surgeon he's met in his 25 years of practice. A testament to my dentist's recommendation, I underwent surgery at Dr. Chen's office for the extractions of all 4 wisdom teeth. After the surgery I had relatively little pain, very slight swelling, and was back to normal diet within 3 days. I had 2 impacted wisdom teeth taken out under general anaesthesia. The process itself was efficient and painless, but the recovery was difficult since I developed an infection requiring a second course of strong antibiotics. Overall it took 4 weeks to fully recover, which was a lot longer than I expected. I found Dr Chen and his office were helpful and responsive when I needed appointments and prescription refills.
