3.0 out of 5 stars Does not charge battery unless it is plugged into a computer USB port. Proprietary USB cable. This will not charge the battery if the included cable is plugged into a wall charger with a USB port, it will only charge the battery if it is plugged into a USB port on a computer. The included software is huge, it is almost 500mb and that does not include the PDF, OCR or business card add-ons. In comparison, a portable Canon R10 scanner has the scanner software embedded into it and it shows up when it is plugge... read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for on the go Very easy to setup the manual is lacking but the full manual is available on brothers website. It doesn't say but it only supports a 2-32g micro SD memory card. Which I use it mostly to wifi scan and save it on my phone so not an issue. As long as you're not trying to get a 128g SD card to work as a backup. It just will give you error codes for the memory card not formatted correctly. However after that it has been a outstanding scanner. I love the battery operated feature also.
5.0 out of 5 stars Handy wireless scanning is fantastic - eventually I bought this because I don't scan often and would rather not connect a special USB cable for power and data. The cable that comes with it is a USB A to your laptop. That's common for scanners. I have a Surface Studio which only has USB C connections. For scanning to your mobile device. You connect to the scanner's wi-fi. They call this "Direct Wi-Fi". The password is on the bottom of the device is complex. That's ok as your phone will remember it the next ... read more
5.0 out of 5 stars Scanner This scanner is perfect it’s small enough to fit right in your briefcase
Great little scanner Makes paying and recording the bills easier. Also great at business cards. The scanner works out of the box in Debian/Ubuntu Linux, just plug and play. Docked one star because it can be finicky with folded paper, takes a little tweaking to get it to run thru. W

Great little scanner I actually bought the DS640 model first but then exchanged it for the 940 since it was capable of WiFi scanning. I love it so far! I wanted something that was not going to take up much space. Love that I can scan more than one document and having it merge and save as one, there’s also option to save different scan settings with one push option. So far it’s great! Would have given 5 star if the saved scan settings with one push also allowed for multiple pages.
