Scanner This scanner can be setup on a mobile device through the app store application or by downloading software onto the computer. I chose to do both to see how well it worked with each. The software setup takes a little while, probably about 30 minutes in total. At first, it was unable to locate the item (even with the cord) then I tried wifi and that still didnt work. Won't run when both scanner and a printer are connected via USB on a Mac using Catalina OS My DS720DW quit working on my Mac with the Catalina upgrade. I really missed it so ordered the DS920DW. How frustrating to install. After much time getting it to work at one location, when I went to another location (same Mac, different USB connected printer) it wouldn't work again. Solid battery life, reasonably quick, simple to use Charges and runs off a micro-USB which is fantastic, and lasts for hours - more than enough to handle everything I've used it for. Wireless has been only rarely used, but for those rare times it has been the only option, so it may be worth the price. It's not a great experience, but it works - I don't really think there is a way to make it much better, most of the annoyance comes with connecting to its wifi, which all ad-hoc wifi stuff has to deal with. OMG I love this machine! This machine works GREAT. I've scanned a year's worth of receipts and 20 years of "important" documents, and 40 years of photos. What a work horse!
