Get directionsWe really enjoyed our visit to Elan. [name removed] was very patient, informative and kind with my mother-in-law. The visit was very low-pressure and you could tell they were concerned with her needs and anxieties that come with moving into an assisted facility when she was used to the relative freedom of independent living.
Elan Westpointe is truly a community. The director and staff work hard to make you feel at home. They host many events that allow residents time for social experiences with one another and with family. The staff makes the most of the dinning experiences for all meals. You truly feel like you're visiting a restaurant. Room service is available for a small fee. [name removed] (Director) is great about listening to concerns or any questions. The staff are all very good. I'd give them a 5. As most facilities are, they are understaffed which unfortunately only hurts the residents. The activities and dining experience get a solid 4. To get a five they would have to be exceptional, which I think is difficult when you are cooking or planning activities for that many people. Overall I would give a 4.5, but that was not one of my options!

Location and availability. The director of sales was easy to work with. Combined activities for memory care and AL. There seems to be quite a lot of staff turn over. There is no specific director for memory care.

I have found the staff very helpful as we travel quite a bit and they have provided Mom with their cards/contact info and help with ordering groceries to be delivered.

They could do a better job of giving a good care report when the family is picking up their loved one. However, the community is very nice and the food looked great.

The staff in Valeo (Memory Care) are incredibly friendly, gentle, and kind. My parents are thriving in this community and I am so grateful and relieved.

I have been pretty satisfied with the facility. The main thing that stuck out was that it does not smell. I used to service nursing homes and a lot of them. The smell of urine was very prevalent. I've never smelled that at Elan. Overall, I would recommend Elan WestPointe to others.

Unfortunately the management has undergone a complete turnover since just before Mom arrived in April, and they are still short-staffed. It seems they are trying to get into a better rhythm, so I am hopeful for the future.
