We chose Elan Westpointe because they have a lot of activities in the memory care unit and they are well schooled in working with dementia patients. The staff are kind and the facility is very nice. The food here is very good and she enjoys is. It has seemed it took a while to get accustom to moms routine, but we are trending in the right direction. I would recommend them to any of my friends with parents who have dementia.

Elan is a great place for my mom. [Name removed] at a Place for Mom went out of her way to help me find this wonderful apartment style living for my mom. [Name removed] at Elan made my mom feel right at home. As any place, Elan has room for improvement, especially in the food services, but overall this was a very good decision for our family.
I think what I love most about this community is how warm and friendly the staff are right from the time you walk in to the moment someone readily asks you if you would like something cold to drink or a fresh cup of coffee. This was very important to me when I first began looking for a place to work and support. I had my mom with me to tour a few places and I watched how she reacted to the community rep at the time and the super friendly resident engaged in all kinds of fun things to do! The Elan Westpointe is the newest and nicest assisted living community in New Braunfels. The staff is very focused and friendly to the tenants and their family. The cafeteria has three choices of meals for breakfast. lunch and dinner. If you want something else, they have a Biestro menu which has all kinds of sandwiches, burgers, a huge Chief salad ect. REVISION Elan Westpointe, New Braunfels, TX. This is the 2nd time I have reviewed Elan. After speaking with the Director, I believe they are now making strides to improve on the issues that concerned me in the previous review. I also believe they are still working on improvements in other areas. I believe the director, [Name removed] is the right person for this community. Thank you [Name removed]!
This facility made the short list. Very impressive staff.
Beautiful new facility. Very welcoming entrance. Friendly staff. Restaurant style dining. Theater. Nice apartment with fridge, microwave, living and separate living area.
I have no complaints of how things went for my loved one at this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I thought they had a nice floor plan with a lot of great amenities available for all of the residents It was just not the right fit in the end decision but I would recommend it to anyone.
