On February 7, 2025 my father was transported from the VA hospital to Encompass Health for rehab to make him stronger so he wouldn't fall at home. When i visited him on the 8th I was so surprised to see the neglect exhibited. No one was responding to calls for help. A woman called me from her room to ask if anyone was there. I found my father very depressed. I asked the staff if there were any activities to keep him busy. They said no. I wanted to him our but they convinced me to wait until Monday. This is my 2nd review of Encompass as Yelp removed my prior review for violating their TOS. So nothing but facts. Fact: 1/26 my sister, a stroke victim that was now a paraplegic that one could hold a conversation with, was discharged by another rehab facility in AS to her daughter, my niece, a person with a history of alcohol and drug abuse. 2/2 After a week of abuse and gross negligence by her daughter, my sister was admitted to AdventHealth Hospital Altamonte Springs near death. 2/16 My sister was discharged to Encompas... read more

my brother had pretty much the same experience some of these other reviewers had. he had been in there twice /efore and had good care by the nursing staff and PT was always good. HOWEVER this time was different. he had the same experience with trying to get someone in his room to help him with using the urinal. at times at least 45 minute. and staff not always being very helpful. he was able to take a shower once in the 10 days he was there. He has lymph edema in both legs and they have to stay wrapped. The therapist taking ... read more

My mom was sent here after having a stroke. She had memory loss, but no physical delays. The pictures and online do no justice to this awful place! The nursing staff is the absolute worst! The terrible reviews you see?! Believe them! I wish I had! Even the lobby bathroom is nasty!!! Not even 2 days into my moms stay her I phone was STOLEN from her room & of course their head of Risk Sarah said that it is not their problem and they aren't doing anything about it... since it wasn't an eyeglass, denture or hearing aid!
