I took my daughter to the "ER" on San Felipe for a strep test. I gave the front desk my insurance card and told her "I just need a strep test." We were there for less than 20 minutes and I was given a bill for $750. I told her that was insane and wouldn't pay. I called my insurance company immediately the next morning and they agreed that this was merely a clinic and that I would need to pay $75. Worst experience in an ER in my life ! I was left for hours with excruciating chest pain with no pain relief , the so called nurse Larry basically told they would not help me more unless I was passed out on the floor unconscious. They eventually took me for a cat scan , they got annoyed at me as I could hardly stay still long enough for them to do it but I was screaming in pain by this time . I arrived at 7pm. Was called back to a nurse at 2pm. After testing was "admitted" to a gurney. This after 5-7 people in the waiting room in front of me. Around 10/11am I finally got a room. Where I had all the peace and quiet I could ask for because I couldn't even beg a nurse to enter my room. I was told "now Mrs.H your antibiotics are not due to be hung until 9pm. I showed her it was now 10:57p! And that my pain medication was supposed to be injected at 7pm. I had a head ache and my acid reflux was bothering me. She said... read more

Had my biopsy there, not having my surgery there. Staff was friendly, but as I'm prepped and laying on the table, they introduce me to the doctor who was then promptly replaced. So I meet the new doctor - by the way, we had you sign the wrong forms, can you sign these instead? Now the new doctor doesn't like the gloves available in the room - perhaps the right kind is down the hall in one of the other rooms? Doesn't like the dressing gown... Went there for my annual mammogram. Big mistake. My doctor requested a follow-up mammogram because of the poor quality of the images. I had to call three times to schedule the follow-up because the scheduler said she didn't know what type of appointment to schedule. Each time I left voicemails for the mammogram nurses and they never returned my calls.
