I had an appointment on July 31 where a biopsy was taken of a spot that had previously been overlooked… during my annual skin scan I do want to have spots that concern me treated each time, but the exam finished without that happening. The biopsy revealed that I have a melanoma in situ which will be surgically removed in October. I have been upgraded to a twice yearly exam as a result, and I am grateful, but sometimes the exam happens so quickly I fear that not every spot is addressed or explained.
