I needed a short term storage unit and I checked out Public Storage on Portola and Extra Space Storage on 38th. Public Storage was dirty and lacked the security that Extra Space Storage has. The girl that was working there was also extremely rude both times I went. It was the opposite at Extra Space Storage. That place is super clean and Dorothy and Matt who work there are both very professional, friendly and helpful. Thank you for making it the best storage experience I've had. This storage facility is the best you can get. I needed a storage because I was downsizing my home and I called the 1-800 number. After I had locked in my rate (which they went above and beyond to get me) I called the local office to make sure the unit was available and I could come and view it. I was just about to press send when THE LOCAL OFFICE called me to confirm. It was fast-friendly and the kind of service you get with a great company. If I could give this place a 0 star review I would. The staff is nice but their policies around price increases are predatory. My original payment almost tripled within 4 months of renting a unit. Their contract states they can increase the unit cost between 0-100% annually. Instead of emailing a notice of a price increase they say they "mail" a notice of price change. I've lived at the same residence for over a year and received no such notice. I highly recommend folks not to store your goods here unless you are okay with... read more

These people will steal from you and have no remorse. They stole 2 of my spare keys and either sold them to some thief or took what was in my storage for themselves. Cindy is the "mastermind" behind the whole operation. And whoever works there now promises to get me a refund and call me back but never does.... I am giving them until January and then I will begin the annoying process of civil charges against the company.

DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS AT THIS PLACE! My daughter and a friend selected this place to store their items while away for the summer. They thought this place was safer since not as many homeless around the area. Little did they know that the person they needed to watch out for was THE MANAGER Cyndi Sweeten who works at another one of their locations also.
